Techgoondu

Tech news, gizmos, gadgets – the revolution has begun!

About

We never thought we’d move out this fast, but better early than later.. and so, may we welcome you to Techgoondu.com

That’s the new site that we’ll be updating from now on, so please update your bookmarks and RSS feeds, as we won’t be updating you on the latest gizmos and stuff here.

Sorry for not running all these meta refresh stuff, or cross-linking domains… just figured it’s easier coz this site is rather young (less than a month old), and easier to migrate like that.

Thanks and remember – techgoondu.com is the new place.

We are a bunch of technology journalists and ex-journalists from Singapore who share a common love for all things geeky and digital, from cellphones to graphics cards to games. Together, we’ve had decades of experience covering news and reviews from the early 1990s.

The aim of this site? Simply to discuss tech issues that are often not mainstream but pique the interest of tech users nonetheless.

The founders:

Alfred Siew
is currently the Technology Correspondent for the The Straits Times newspaper in Singapore and has been covering the beat for about a decade. Areas that pique his interest include broadband/telecoms, wireless, high-def TV, handheld gizmos, games, hardcore PC components, and recently, hi-fi as well.

Ong Boon Kiat
is an ex-Apple Newton crazy and now a Business Times technology reporter. The ex-Computer Times writer has been a 3D digital animator and is now trying to re-rip all his CDs into uncompressed format.

Oo Gin Lee has extensive experience covering technology since the 1990s. He is now with The Straits Times’ Digital Life magazine’s desk. He really just wants to do nothing but play games all day but his BMI of 34 and need to feed his family make work an absolute necessity.

Contributors:

Aaron Tan
been a technology journalist for the last four years, specialising in business technology. In his most recent role, he was a Senior Journalist at CNET Networks based in Singapore. He has contributed stories to ZDNet Asia and BusinessMobile Asia on a broad range of business technology areas including enterprise software, communications and security. He’s currently pursuing an MLIS at Syracuse University.
